Miche Braden - (Meet me at) Hart Plaza 1983

Millicent A.Braden a.k.a Miche Braden (born 1953)  is a singer of jazz music, songwriter, musician, actor and also she is a musical & artistic director of PMP Enterprise. She has toured Japan, France, Belgium and across the U.S. appearing in numerous concerts & stage productions. She has portrayed many of the greatest diva’s of the 20th century including Billie Holiday (Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill), Ma Rainey (Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom), & Bessie Smith (The Devil’s Music) serving as musical director/arranger for these productions as well. She is presently the Minister of Music at UFC New Brunswick, Elder Kevin E. Taylor, Pastor. Miche Braden is niece of bassist Jim Hankins who also was a cast member of "The Devil Music".

She collaborated with Wendell Harrison several times as backing vocalist. First in 1980 on the album "Organic dream" on Wenha Records at The Wenha Studios in Detroit. Next year she sang on the album "Dreams of a love supreme" on Wenha Records. In 1982 she participated as backing vocalist and helped Wendell Harrison on vocal arrangements. Wendell Harrison released a single entitled "No turnin back / Rocket Love" on Wenha Records.
In 1983 she collaborated with Earl Van Dyke Quartet and released a single entitled "(Meet me at) Hart Plaza / Earl's theme" on Har-Den Music Co from Detroit. "(Meet me at) Hart Plaza" composed by herself. The other side of a vinyl record includes jazz instrumental in which appears the Earl Van Dyke Quartet. Composed by Earl Van Dyke, Uriel Jones, Ralph Armstrong and C.Edwards.
Earl Van Dyke Quartet were Earl Van Dyke on piano/organ, Ralph Armstrong on bass, Uriel Jones on drums, Lefty Edwards on tenor sax, Thomas Beans Bowles on baritone sax and Marcus Belgrave on trumpet/Fluegelhorn. Produced by T.Harold Bowles Jr (sadly passed away on Sunday, May 29), eldest son of the late Thomas "Beans" Bowles of Motown.



Next year she co-wrote a song entitled "The Rhythm & The Blues" which was released on Get Down Records. Kellie Evans, Don Albert and Sandra Feva released a single "The Rhythm & The Blues / Have you tried jesus" in 1984. This song was written by Miche Braden, Barry Hankerson and Ron Milner.
In 1985 she sang again as backing vocalist on the Wendell Harrison's album entitled "Reawakening" on Tribe Records from Detroit.
